I really had not given much thought about what to write about today...but i figured it is 11-11-11...alan is off for veterans day ...he is planning on helping our son mark install a new washer and dryer...not a simple replacement...mark and his wife kayla ..are turning a spare room on their first floor into laundry room and installing a new washer and dryer...their current washer and dryer are in the basement...so this included ...new water lines, running new electric, pulling wallpaper...filling cracks, sanding...priming and painting...a lot of this was done during the week...but i thought surely there would be a funny story to blog about..NOT...
everything went really well and kayla is now doing laundry... while i understand journey has parked a booster seat in front of the washer to count the number of spins :)...yesterday i read that mr. buster bozman had passed away...he lived up a lane called bozman lane...just off a street called crisfield lane...the street that i grew up on and the street that my parents still live on...HOME...it was people like mr. buster and mr. john somers...that made our neighborhood feel so safe..mr. john still lives on the same street with my parents..they were both md. state police...i was so lucky to grow up in a neighborhood where we were so happy and safe...lots of kids there...and so many good neighbors to keep an eye on the neighborhood kids...not too many homes really get put up on the market unless someone passes away...i do not think there are many neighborhoods like that any more..that is sad...
i live in a good area of my town...but i live across the road from a registered sex offender...we do not have a lot of children in our block...but there are a few that have to walk by this house to go to school...yes he is able to live 1 block away from a school...and i guess we never lose the mom in us...cause i always try to keep an eye on our neighborhood children...it is sad we live in these times...do check your registered sex offenders list...you may be very surprised...who lives in your neighborhood...
michelle got the rest of our christmas presents wrapped..still have a little shopping left to do...but i really hope to get it done next weekend...i ordered a new christmas tree yesterday 7 1/2 feet tall...i have had my old one for years and it was starting to shed..pretty bad..i know when it comes i will want to put it up..but i have so much thanksgiving up i would hate to take it down early...i think i am going up to take a long bath...enjoy the rest of your evening :)
